Journal Abbreviated Title: JDA

Journal of Data Analytics is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal on data in science to enhance data transparency and reusability. The  Journal of Data  Analytics (JDA) brings together thought leaders, researchers, industry practitioners, and potential users of data science and analytics to develop the field, discuss new trends and opportunities, exchange ideas and practices, and promote transdisciplinary and cross-domain collaborations. This journal supports scholarly articles in areas related to data science, such as data mining, data analysis, big data, IoT, blockchain technology, and other related disciplines in various industrial and academic sectors. This journal is published bi-quarterly by ISNet International Publications.

The journal permits and encourages authors to deposit all versions of their papers (Preprint, Author's Accepted Manuscript, Published article (Version of Record)) in a personal website, institutional or subject repository.

No special permission is required to reuse all or part of an article published by JDA, including figures and tables. For articles published under an open-access Creative Commons CC BY license, any part of the article may be reused without permission, provided the original article is clearly cited. Reusing an article does not imply endorsement by the authors or JDA.

Authors retain the copyright of their papers without restrictions.

Open Access— free for readers, with article processing charges (APC) paid by authors or their institutions.

It is noteworthy that the journal's editorial process uses Ithenticate (http://www.ithenticate.com/). A text similarity score below 25% is acceptable by the journal.

The journal's objective is to speed up the decision process without compromising on quality. The journal has a double-blind peer review, and the peer reviewers may be editorial board members or external reviewers. The selection of peer reviewers depends on their availability and the subject of the manuscript. One step before the reviewing process, the journal editors use the PLAGIARISM software, Ithenticate (http://www.ithenticate.com/).

The review time for each round is about 4 to 6 weeks; the acceptance time is usually about 12 to 15 weeks, and the review process is done by at least two reviewers

The following illustrates the results of reviewing:

  • The manuscript will be accepted if all peer reviewers recommend the manuscript be accepted.

  • The manuscript will be rejected if more than half of the peer reviewers recommend the manuscript be rejected.

  • In all other cases, the reviewers' comments will be sent back to the submitting author to revise the manuscript.

It is worth mentioning that if an article needs significant revision, it is rejected, and we suggest the authors resubmit it after revision.

The Journal of Data Analytics publishes fully open-access articles, which means that all articles are available on the Internet to all users immediately upon publication.
